Description
Assists the Group Human Resources Manager in the management of the Human Resources Department and its various functions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Wage and Salary Administration


  • Assists the in the preparation and periodic review of Wage and Salary Scale.
  • Monitors the implementation of performance appraisal program, collates forms, reviews ratings and compiles statistical reports for the Director of Personnel.
  • Drafts standards and guidelines for Wage and Salary administration, for review. Upon approval, assists the Director of Human Resources in the orientation, implementation and compliance.
Benefits and Welfare


  • Assists in the preparation of the annual program on benefits, and computes estimated costs (indicating assumptions) and time schedule.
Assists in the packaging of benefits, such as those shown below, and upon approval, assists in the orientation, implementation and compliance:

  • Group life insurance,
  • Pension scheme,
  • Personal loans plan, and
  • Special allowance and benefits.
  • Supervises the Human Resources Clerk in the implementation of mandatory and fringe benefits such as vacation leave, medical welfare and others.
  • Administers directly, benefits such as employee lockers, employee restaurant or lounge and others specified by the Director of Human Resources.
Industrial Labour and Employee Relations


  • Upon instruction of the Vice President, represents Management in transactions with the Trade Union.
  • Assists in the amiable settlement and proper disposition of employee related problems, grievances, complaints and requests following established Hotels and the hotel's own policies and procedures.
  • Supervises employees in the processing of forms required by labour laws for submission to ministerial agencies in relations to employee suspensions, resignations and terminations.

GENERAL
Conducts industry-wide surveys in the following areas, to ensure hotel competitiveness:

  • Wage and salary scales and administrations, and
  • Employee benefits and welfare schemes.
  • Ensures compliance with local legal requirements for expatriates and foreign workers, such as those enforced by the Ministry of Immigration and Deportment, Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Tourism. Ensures that relevant employment permits, health certificates and other documents are secured and in order.
  • Allocation of staff accommodation and regularly inspecting the accommodation for compliances of the accommodation policy and procedure.
  • Submits on every 5th work day of the following month, a Monthly Human Resources Summary Report covering all aspects of the department's functions, to the Group Human Resources Manager.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Group Human Resources Manager and Vice President.

AED4, AED5,000.00 per month
