Job Title:
Finishing Carpenter

Job Summary:

As a finishing carpenter, you will be responsible for completing the fine details of construction or remodeling projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

You will work with a variety of materials, including wood, trim, molding, and other finishing materials, to enhance the overall appearance of structures.

Responsibilities:

Install interior trim such as baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, and stair balusters.
Hang doors and install door hardware, including handles, locks, and hinges.
Construct and install cabinets, shelving units, and other builtin fixtures according to specifications.
Install and finish wooden flooring, including hardwood, laminate, and engineered flooring.
Repair or replace damaged trim, molding, or fixtures as needed.
Ensure that all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, contractors, and designers, to ensure project success.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Provide guidance and training to apprentices or junior carpenters as needed.
