Overall Purpose of The Job

  • As General Manager, the role provides direction to the assigned location/s; coordinates all the activities of the company in accordance with the approved policies and has the authority and control over the management of the same.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • 1. Defines guidelines, policies, rules and regulations concerning the company together with the board and monitors, supervises implementation of the same over all affiliates, branch offices, and subsidiaries.
  • Engages with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning ensuring the creation of a strategies and development of tactical programs designed to grow the business and pursue V.Group's targeted goals and objectives.
  • Provides overall strategic directions to the company by communicating strategies and results to the unit's colleagues and overseeing implementation of the same.
  • Oversees daily operations of the business unit or organization and responsible for budget and cost management.
  • Monitors and evaluates operating performance regularly against quality plans and standards, pinpoints areas for improvement and directs the appropriate courses of action to ensure prompt and proper solution to problems.
  • Reviews the implementation of the Quality System, Internal Audits and Corrective Procedures to identify instances of non-conformity and areas for system improvement.
  • Coordinates the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports
  • Provides direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit.
  • Ensures overall delivery and quality of the unit's offerings to customers and engages in key or targeted customer activities.
  • Oversees key hiring and talent development programs and evaluates and decides upon key investments in infrastructure and talent.
  • Performs administrative functions such as review and approval of company expenses, disbursements and other financial processes taking responsibility for profit, revenue and cash targets for the scope of work.
  • Apprises the Board of Directors and stockholders regarding the status of the company during the annual Board meetings.

KEY SUCCESS MEASURES:

  • Customer Retention and NPS
  • Achievement of key operational, financial and people metrics (ex. Overdue relief, meeting budget, colleague retention)
  • Positive feedback from internal stakeholders (Business Development, Technical Management, etc.)

Required Experience

  • ESSENTIAL:
  • Proven skills in Performance Management, Staffing, Management and Developing Process Standards
  • Strong expertise in Financial Planning, Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, and Quality Management
  • Strong decision making skills
  • MSc/MA in business administration or relevant field
  • Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship development
  • Outstanding organization and leadership abilities
  • In depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and managerial best practices
  • Multitasker and critical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with and manage multicultural groups

DESIRABLE:

  • Proven experience as executive director or in other managerial position
