Income Auditor | Luxury Hotel

Position Overview:
The Income Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient financial operations of a luxury hotel. This position involves analyzing and reconciling various financial records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.

The Income Auditor is responsible for maintaining precise financial data related to guest revenue, outlets, and other revenue-generating areas within the hotel.

They collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure the integrity of financial information and contribute to the overall success of the hotel's financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Auditing:
Conduct daily audits of revenue-generating areas, including rooms, restaurants, bars, spa, and other outlets.
Verify accuracy and completeness of revenue postings against supporting documentation, such as guest bills, point-of-sale reports, and reservation systems.
Identify and investigate discrepancies, errors, or irregularities in financial transactions.


Reconciliation:
Reconcile revenue transactions with the property management system (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other relevant systems.

Ensure all revenue streams are accurately captured and reconciled, including room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and other ancillary services.


Reporting:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly income audit reports for management review.
Provide detailed analysis of revenue trends, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement or cost savings.


Compliance:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.


Communication:
Collaborate with various departments, including front office, accounting, and F&B, to resolve discrepancies and address issues promptly.
Maintain clear communication channels with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.


Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive and organized records of financial transactions and audit findings.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures related to income auditing processes.


Technology and Systems:

Utilize relevant software tools, such as accounting software, property management systems, and Microsoft Excel, to facilitate accurate audits and reporting.


Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within the income auditing process.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in income auditing, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, property management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

Ability to Commute:

  • Dubai (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Dubai: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
