Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our Medical Center.

The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for managing insurance claims, coordinating with insurance providers, and ensuring smooth billing processes for our patients in compliance with regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Verify insurance coverage for patients and obtain necessary approvals from insurance providers in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enter patient information, insurance details, and billing codes accurately into the clinic's electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
  • Submit insurance claims electronically or by mail, adhering to insurance guidelines and regulations.
  • Follow up on pending insurance claims, denials, or discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently to optimize reimbursement.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to address billing inquiries, appeals, and disputes professionally and in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations, billing codes, and industry standards to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, benefits, and financial responsibilities, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical billing staff, healthcare providers, and administrative team members to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in insurance-related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of insurance transactions, correspondence, and patient accounts in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing their insurance-related queries promptly and courteously.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance coordination, or a related field, preferably in the Abu Dhabi healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance claim submission procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing discrepancies and insurance claim issues efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in compliance with data protection laws.
  • Familiarity with insurance providers, their billing requirements, and regulations governing insurance practices in the healthcare sector.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in insurance policies, procedures, and technology to ensure accurate billing practices and compliance.
  • For outsource surgeries have to deal with hospitals to take approvals and to do required documentation.
