- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and update menu offerings, taking into account customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and market trends.
- Monitor kitchen operations during service periods, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of dishes while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance management of kitchen personnel, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
- Assist in cost control measures by minimizing food waste, optimizing portion sizes, and managing kitchen expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and innovative cooking techniques related to seafood cuisine.
- Collaborate with the frontofhouse team to provide exceptional guest experiences, accommodating special requests and dietary needs as necessary.
