Job Purpose
The position's responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements, and setting up production methods. Would require hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and familiarity with building processes.

Key Result Areas

Liaise with Direct manager/architects / Landlords and engineers to gather all Design requirements. As well as design and create 2D & 3D computer models of shops, buildings, and machine parts from blueprints or scratch.
Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and requirements in materials.
Describe production methods stepbystep (including equipment and software types to be used)
Create detailed designs with computeraided design (CAD) software.
Design layouts, and detailed drawings and create full specifications and BOQs to illustrate a workflow.
Prepare and review rough sketches.
Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
Blending technique and aesthetics to create final designs.
Presenting models to clients.
Completing job reports.
