Manager - Flight Safety & Standards- United Arab Emirates

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To oversee the implementation of Safety Management System principles and Quality Control functions at a departmental level within Flight Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures implementation of flydubai Safety Management System requirements in Flight Operations.
- Generates Safety Risk Assessments, collaborating with other departments, to enhance Flight Operations.
- Leads the monthly Flight Safety Action Group and contributes to the Fatigue Risk Management Safety Action Group (SAG).
- Maintains the Flight Operation Hazard Register, conducting thorough reviews of implemented mitigating actions.
- Participates in Flight Safetyrelated investigations as necessary to uphold operational standards.
- Conducts periodic safety assessments to optimize safety protocols during line operations.
- Represents Flight Operations during both internal and external audits, collaborating with Compliance Monitoring to devise corrective actions and effective mitigations in response to identified findings.
- Contribute to Security & Safety SAG, on behalf of Flight Operations, providing mitigations for Security Risk & Threat Analysis.
- Provide valuable insights from Flight Operations to Air Safety Reports, as assigned by the Safety Department.
- Develops Flight Operations Safety Performance Indicators, along with associated Targets for continual improvement.
- Delivers regular and comprehensive safety updates to the departmental head within Flight Operations.
- Represents Flight Operations at relevant external events pertaining to flight safety.
- Conducts quality control functions within the Flight Operations Department to ensure adherence to company standards.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum Education Level
- Master's Degree
- Aviation Safety
- ICAO ATPL Degree in aviation management/safety
- Hold or has held an ATPL.
- Fluent in English
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Years with Qualifications
- 8
- Wideranging expertise and work experience in Aviation Safety Management System, within an airline or civil aviation authority.
- Proficient in Report Writing, Q-Pulse and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
