Fugro is looking for a talented Regional Service Line Manager to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

Land asset integrity services provide people, resources and technology to inspect and monitor the condition and performance of critical infrastructure.

Innovative scanning, monitoring, analytics and data management techniques are used to assess and report on structural integrity and regulatory compliance.

And to identify infrastructure management vulnerabilities and risks. Digital geo-data solutions, robotics, connectivity and advanced analytics allow asset owners to optimise asset lifecycle management.

The Role

  • Responsible for maximizing the overall performance of the Business Line in the region and is accountable to achieve the agreed yearly revenue and profit targets. The Manager is based in the UAE, with regular travel to Saudi Arabia and reports directly to the Regional Director Land and functionally to the Global Business Line Director.
Develops and translates Fugro's business line strategy in the region to grow the overall size and profitability. Initiates a yearly plan for the Business Line, in agreement with the global strategy.

This includes revenue and profit targets per service line, commercial, operational and digital transformation plans as well as optimal deployment of people and assets.

Executes and manages performance to achieve the targets.


Champions and leads the commercial effort in a client industry focused and entrepreneurial fashion, based on solid business development and account management strategies, from lead to successful execution.

Drives commercial strength by understanding market trends, manages client relations, develops new business by launching new solutions or by entering new markets, generating leads and managing leads into contracts.

Aligned with the Country Directors builds a best of class business development team. Develops commercial competencies with support of the regional Sales & Marketing Director. Collaborates with sales & marketing teams and other business lines on cross-business line opportunities. Strives to be a visionary force in the geo-data industry.

Provides leadership and builds highly effective teams.

Develops and maintains a high performing team of professionals with high commercial acumen and operational excellence, accountable for clear profitability targets, while fostering career and talent development.

Drives recruitment, development, performance appraisals and succession planning of staff from diverse backgrounds to enhance the leadership capacity and achieves excellence.

Is involved in senior appointments and international transfers. Ensures retention and advancement of high potentials and key contributors across the organization.


Ensures that projects and operations are executed safely and sustainably, on time and within budget, while managing risks and customer expectations.

Ensures compliance with operational control systems and procedures. Manages optimal deployment of people, assets and capex. Arranges internal and external project close-out meetings to improve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Is responsible for best practices implementation. Aligns with the Regional Director Operational Excellence to realise operational optimization and delivery excellence. Aligns with Country and Sub-regional Directors to ensure safe, efficient and optimized operations for local execution of projects.


Shows and applies true management commitment and exemplary leadership to deepen and strengthen our safety culture throughout the company and drives adherence of Business and Service Lines and all legal entities to Fugro HSSE Management Systems, policies and standards.

Analyses differences between reality and budget and providing periodic feedback/reports including explanation and advice to the Global Business Line Director.

Provides input on innovation requirements and market and client expectations, as well as strengths and weaknesses in the organisation and opportunities and threats in the market.
