The Job Opportunity
The purpose of the role is to carryout preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on masonry related tasks individually or as part of a technical team, within the airfield civil works section of Dubai Airports, whilst ensuring mínimal disruption to the airport operations
Key accountabilities
Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work
Can read interpret and describe the functionality of civil works drawings (schematic & layout drawing)
Assets Exposure (Direct)
Major assets below, but not limited to:
- Roads
- Airfield (Runways, Taxiways, etc.)
- Pavements
- Aircraft Parking stands
- Gullies and gutters
- Concrete slabs
- Modular surfaces and concrete footways
For listed Assets, in the capacity as team member and solo:
- Periodic Preventive Maintenance
- Breakdown Trouble Shooting
- Inspections
- Condition Assessment
- Condition Based Maintenance
- Corrective Maintenance
- Configuration and Modifications
Tasks such as, but not limited to
- Pavement repair works on the airfield
- Road repair works
- Conduct inspections to determine the need for repair
- Sealing of expanding or contracting joints with caulking materials
- Texturing and polishing, installing dressed stone, mixing cement and mortar,
- Minor repair works on floors and walls
- Preparation of Sub base and road base in nonbituminous materials
- Cold lay of bituminous materials
- Hot lay of bituminous materials

Specific requirements
High School Certificate
Industrial Training Institute Certificate / Diploma in road and street work operative
maintenance or equivalent (post high school)
IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
Current valid UAE driving licence is desirable
Minimum three (3) year experience within a civil works (road and street works) or similar environment.
Airport experience is considered as added advantage for this position
Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English.
Working knowledge in using MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)
Ability to perform safely and correctly the following
- Location and avoidance of underground apparatus.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines
- Corrective maintenance (CM)
- Breakdown maintenance (BD)
