We are now looking to expand our team with a new Team lead to join our payroll team based in Dubai.

As a Team lead, your primarily responsible is to oversee the payroll activities for the region and lead your team to ensure the payroll is processed as per the company guidelines.

General Responsibilities:


  • Handling and prepare all payroll for GCC countries with accuracy.
  • Adhere to payroll timelines and ensure 100% payroll processed as per monthly timelines.
  • Processes authorized deductions and allocations of Insurance paid by both the employee and employer in order to calculate precise monthly wages.
  • Processes the end of service settlement of exit employees to settle their dues in accordance with the labor law and company policies.
  • Create payroll accruals entries for end of service benefits, airfare, leave, benefits and bonus. Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for payment / bank transfers within the payroll process. Prepare pay slips and dispatch to employees
  • Coordinate with Finance for Pre and post Payroll activities. Provide support for Company Audits related to Payroll.
  • Ensure all invoices related to Insurance are checked and booked on a timely basis.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Be the first point of contact for any escalations.
  • Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy. Lead the team by setting goals and targets.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Encourage creativity and risktaking.
  • Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee. Train new employees on company standards and procedures
  • Work closely with CFO's and HR on a monthly basis for all payroll and benefits related activities.

Qualifications & Characteristics:


  • Must possess a minimum bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in processing the entire payroll cycle for UAE or GCC countries
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of GCC labour laws in relation to wages
  • Experience with monthly accruals and reporting is an advantage
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
