The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver comprehensive barista training programs, focusing on specialty coffee preparation techniques and customer engagement.
Conduct regular workshops and sessions on manual brewing methods, espresso making, latte art, and other specialty coffee techniques.
Implement sensory evaluation training to enhance coffee flavor understanding and quality assurance.
Ensure accurate equipment calibration and maintenance for optimal coffee brewing.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the barista team.
Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate innovative practices into training programs.
Collaborate with management and other teams to align training with company goals.
Ensuring up-to-date and relevant training environments.
Adapt teaching methods to cater to various learning styles, including theory, practical, sensory, and visual techniques.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in specialty coffee, including barista training.
Proficient in various manual brewing methods and espresso techniques.
Strong knowledge of sensory evaluation and coffee quality standards.
Experienced in equipment calibration and maintenance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Passionate about coffee and customer service.
SCA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and different skill levels.
Experience as an SCA Authorized Trainer (AST) is preferred but not mandatory.
