Description

Works with colleagues in HR (GCC & MEA), Area Reward Team, Finance and Legal to ensure that the development and execution of Reward Strategy in GCC is a reflection of the needs of the business, people and sustainability strategy, AZ global performance and reward strategy, and in compliance with Global C&B policies and practices.


Plays a lead role in designing/redesigning GCC reward programs to build market-competitive & cost-effective Total Reward framework with solid governance.

May lead HR operations projects to enable aligned, simplified and comprehensive HR solutions & policies.


Typical Accountabilities:


Sustaining GCC Total Reward framework:


  • Develops and implements EVP Total Reward strategy with annual checks to strengthen competitiveness, costeffectiveness, diversity, performancedriven culture via leveraging on solid benchmarks analysis & corporate guidelines.
  • Leads daytoday management of reward delivery or acts as an expert resource for GCC&P, providing advice on strategic and policy development that will have a significant role in supporting the medium term achievement of business objectives.
  • Supports governance of compensation & benefits programmes, acting as a business advisor, providing expert advice and assistance in the development of reward offerings and appropriate decisionmaking.
  • Design and maintain reward policies, ensuring adherence with regulatory, legal and best practice competitive approaches in markets under purview.
  • Works across the HR function and business, aligns reward programme delivery with wider HR and business objectives, ensuring interventions are integrated in a consistent way that supports AZ's organisational objectives
  • Is a primary point of contact for finance team on manpower accruals & planning. Financially plans and manages budgets for all areas of responsibility required for delivery of reward programmes.
  • Provides relevant FCF controls & monitoring across GCC&P.
  • Ensures proper manpower costs & Mercer mapping alignment (lead alignment of CLs, MRPs, Cost Centres across GCC&P, cooperating with total rewards international team.
  • Leads annual waves of career progression and RP process, also job reevaluations and roles CL mapping per business need
  • Ensures competitive & market aligned C&B practices, working closely with various external partners for the best quality service (global recognition program Catalyze, medical insurance plans, Mercer data, etc). Reviews benefits provision, monitoring cost and financial impact of provision and competitiveness of package to market. Projects future funding requirements and works with providers to maximum effectiveness of provision. Owns relationships with third party benefit providers.
  • Ensures GCC&P reward related practices are governed and executed in the right way (severance packages, job offers, retention & counter offers, etc)
  • Leads 'Financial health' taskforce & activities across GCC&P (train managers & staff, Total Reward toolkit & Employee handbooks etc), enabling annual Total Reward philosophy & Financial Health communication & engagement plan.
  • Ensures pay and benefit benchmarking for the GCC cluster is carried out in accordance with the benchmarking strategy.
  • Oversees the delivery of annual compensation and benefit review events such as bonus, longterm incentives and salary review for the region.
  • Reviews benefits provision, monitoring the financial impact of provision and competitiveness to the market.
  • Leads GCC policies & procedure design and update, ensuring they are legally compliant, aligned with AZ global practices & across GCC.
  • Within Market roles ensure that compensation and benefits policies and processes comply with local regulatory and legal requirements and are effectively implemented and communicated within the region.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


Essential

  • Complete higher education in business/ HR
  • Certified at Compensation & reward management or having >8yrs of relevant experience in Total Reward/C&B
  • Expert knowledge of policies, process and procedures pertaining to compensation, pensions, healthcare, cars and other significant benefits arrangements in GCC markets with focus on Saudi
  • Solid understanding of drivers of improved business performance in relation to compensation & benefits
  • Project management skills
