Position Summary


Key Objectives:
Samsung Assistant eStore Manager with focus on supporting strategic projects to increase online sales for multiple eStores in MENA

Samsung MENA HQ is currently operating regional eStores for selected MENA markets.

The RHQ Online team serves as the center of excellence for enhancing Samsung MENA's leadership position in eCommerce by maximizing customer experience, brand presence and sales growth across online channels.

We are searching for an Assistant Manager who will be responsible for supporting on strategic projects, focused on driving the eStore sales performance across divisions for both B2C and B2B customers.

Further the role will support strategizing platform enhancements as well as sellout enablers and support the eStore Lead with strategy and business development for our DTC platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Position Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Online Business Team and regional eStore Head to support with development and execution of the MENA regional eStores (DTC) strategy (complimentary to the overarching regional online business strategy)
  • Drive implementation of centralised essential processes across the region required to execute regional strategy
  • Manage new projects (incl. fintech, channel optimization, CX, sellout platforms) targeting online sales growth for DTC channels
  • Ensure cascaded regional strategy is implemented and executed on operational level in local subsidiaries to maximise sales growth of eStore
  • Support in developing and optimising eStore platform along with key regional and global stakeholders
  • Optimize category performance on the eStores, collaborating across Key Account Management, Sales, Site Merchandising, Product Marketing and technical teams
  • Support, direct and coordinate Samsung local teams across categories to setup harmonized implementation strategy and activities with regional ones and conduct working sessions for further understanding of regional strategy and enhancing implementations
  • Provide direction to subsidiaries' Online Teams and secure GTM along with ongoing operations of strategic projects across all divisions/markets is being executed on schedule
  • Compiling weekly & monthly reports feeding back to senior management team and advising on strategy
  • Drive actionable consumer insights (through web analytics and competitive landscape benchmarking) to improve user experience and platform capabilities
  • Manage eCommerce KPIs for traffic, sales, acquisition and customer interaction on the eStore
  • During the development and launch phase, support eStore Head with development, operational process design, SIT and UAT, assist during technical requirement gathering and planning exercises and act as a key user for eStore and operational testing
  • Assist eStore Head in the technical design processes. Ability to architect complex eCommerce and omnichannel processes into business flow diagrams
  • Support project management of feature and platform rollouts along as well as the external development team and contribute to technical discussions
  • Manage agency counterparts' deliveries and keep project implementation on schedule and within scope
  • Being an effective, assertive and professional member of the project delivery team by developing consensus across different stakeholders internal and external
  • Answering and prioritizing business requests while leading on a series of initiatives aiming at ensuring that the eStores are always up‐to‐date and perform at their best
Skills and Qualifications

  • Essential skills and experience:
The role requires excellent business acumen and good stakeholder management as well as technical skills.

  • At least 35 years of relevant work experience within a fast growing eCommerce environment
  • Ability in planning, managing, executing and tracking of eStore enhancement projects
  • Ability in leading strategic projects from ideation/planning to execution and tracking/reporting of results
  • Proven experience in project management coupled with knowledge of complex eCommerce rollouts
  • Strong problem solving skills to identify areas of issues and opportunities, evaluate options and provide clear recommendations/strategic plans for business growth
  • Solid understanding of data reporting and digital advertising best practices
  • Possess an innovative and solutionsoriented mindset
  • Proven experience in eCommerce CMS, UI/UX design, project management
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills (can‐do approach)
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment; flexible and open to ideas from all areas and levels of the organization, but also confident and decisive
  • Ability to handle multiple demands efficiently, while being extremely organized and maintaining high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of eCommerce trends, competitive landscape and digital customer experience
