IT Support

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networks.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems by identifying the root cause and implementing appropriate solutions.
Install, configure, and update computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Set up and troubleshoot computer networks, including LAN, WAN, and internet connections.
Collaborate with users to identify and document technical requirements and provide training and guidance on technology usage.
System Maintenance and Monitoring:
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of computer systems.
Monitor and evaluate system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
Ensure data backups are performed regularly and securely stored.
Manage user accounts and access privileges, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.

IT Infrastructure Management:

Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage systems.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security measures.
User Support and Training:
Create and maintain user documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with networking protocols, TCP/IP, VPN, and wireless networks.
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection regulations is a plus.
Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
