Job Purpose:


To monitor and control the maintenance and repair activities of the mobilized assets (Hi-loaders & support vehicles) to ensure that mínimal number of units/hi-loaders are grounded at a time by focusing on reliability, safety and cost-effective methods.

Please note that this role is only applicable to UAE Nationals.


Key Result Areas:


Manage workshop within the facility to ensure that all maintenance activities undertaken meets both internal operating standards and external regulatory requirements to ensure the company*s obligations and policies are fully complied with.

Analyze the technical nature of vehicle failure and recurrence, identify the root cause and initiate necessary corrective and preventive maintenance program to ensure cost efficiency, optimised usage and business continuity.

Determine priority of work orders from the available daily work plans to enable the execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance jobs to assure timely completion of work.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders including service providers in addressing the critical failures on vehicle fleet and actively participate in the technical discussions with stakeholders (pertaining to vehicle performance, warranty and spare parts replacement) to achieve cost effective and efficient solutions.

Review internal operating standards periodically for its compliance and ensure that any asset modification is as per equipment specification and is in line with IATA Airport handling manual (AHM) regulations, airline customer requirements and safety requirements.

Collaborate with service providers/ suppliers and procurement team to ensure the availability of resources (spare parts/other tools) needed for equipment serviceability and exercise technical skills in finding alternate solution in case of any unavailability.

Plan and monitor maintenance checks on workshop equipment (machines and tools) to optimize their life span and ensure operational reliability

Train and guide all technicians on the maintenance techniques, fault diagnosis and repair, usage of different tools, machinery and safe working techniques to develop the maintenance skill base, safety and ergonomics at work.

Manage critical parts store within facility to ensure availability of parts for maintenance and also oversee consignment store managed by suppliers within facility for ease of operations.


Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:


Education Qualification:

Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical & Electronics engineering (must have)
Advanced Technical Training and certified by the Chassis/ equipment manufacturer (preferred)


Work Experience:


6+ Years working experience in a largescale commercial fleet maintenance operation, handling heavy vehicles equipped with well-known catering hi loader super structure.

Good understanding of Fleet Management and understanding of business continuity will be beneficial
Considerable experience in Airport Ground support Equipment (Catering Hi loader) maintenance and repair.
Transport refrigeration units repair and maintenance/ Body shop & paint/Hydraulic and pneumatic systems/Programmable logic cards (PLC) systems and diagnosis


Skills:

Professional at building industrial relations, communication, problem solving, and cost negotiation skills
Confident with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines
Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively and advanced supervisory skills
UAE driving license (preferred)
Airport driving permit (ADP) (preferred)
