Description

JOB PURPOSE


Drives light duty vehicles in order to transport materials, small packages, internal mail or automobiles to and from specified destinations in accordance with assigned schedules.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Delivery & Collection: Receive collection & delivery schedule from the supervisor. Ensure collection and delivery to the specified location is carried out appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Loading & Unloading: Load automobiles & materials in appropriate manner to ensure safety and security of the vehicles. Maneuver unloading position to ensure the unloading activity can be carried out smoothly and efficiently.
  • Reports & Log book: Prepare a delivery report to ascertain delivery of the goods by the receiving party at the specified location. Promptly update log book on a daytoday basis to record trips done, arrival and departure times of destination, type of vehicle delivered and pickup/dropoff location.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain own vehicle to ensure it is in a working condition at all times. Monitor its physical condition before use i.e. fluid levels, tyre pressure, brakes, lights, wipers and turn signals are in order and check whether safety equipment on board is functioning.
  • Safety: Abide traffic rules and regulations as per UAE traffic law. Follow the health & safety regulations and company code of conduct policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secondary School Education Certificate.
  • UAE Light Vehicle Driving License
    (Manual & Automatic)

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of minimum experience as driver in UAE.
  • Good commend of spoken & written English.
