Responsibilities:

Greeting and Seating Guests:
Extend a warm and courteous welcome to all arriving guests.
Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus.
Manage table reservations and ensure efficient seating rotation.

Assisting Guests:
Engage with guests to provide information about the hotel's facilities, services, and dining options.
Address guests' inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring their satisfaction.
Assist in accommodating special requests and dietary preferences.

Maintaining a Welcoming Environment:
Ensure the reception and dining areas are clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.
Oversee table settings and ensure they meet the hotel's standards.
Coordinate with the housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness of the dining area.

Coordinating with Restaurant Staff:
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
Relay special requests and orders accurately to the kitchen.
Assist in coordinating timing of service to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Handling Guest Reservations:
Manage restaurant reservations, including walk-ins and telephone inquiries.
Maintain an organized reservation system and update guest information as needed.

Upselling and Promoting:
Familiarize yourself with the hotel's menu offerings and promotions.
Recommend menu items and promote special offerings to enhance the guest experience.

Managing Guest Flow:
Monitor the flow of guests to prevent overcrowding and maintain a comfortable atmosphere.
Manage waiting lists during peak hours and provide estimated wait times.

Suggesting Improvements:
Actively contribute to enhancing the guest services experience by providing feedback and suggestions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is a plus.
Proven experience as a hostess or in a similar guestfacing role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in handling reservations and using reservation software.
Knowledge of menu items and ability to make recommendations.
Positive and friendly attitude, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Multilingual skills are advantageous.
