We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Animal Caretaker in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Animal Care:

Provide daily care and attention to animals, including feeding, watering, grooming, and cleaning of enclosures or living spaces.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, observing for any signs of illness, injury, or distress, and report any concerns to senior staff members promptly.
Administer medications, supplements, or special diets to animals as prescribed by veterinary staff or under their guidance.

Environmental Enrichment:

Implement enrichment programs and activities to promote physical and mental stimulation for animals, such as providing toys, puzzles, sensory experiences, and opportunities for social interaction.
Design and maintain enriching environments within animal enclosures, including naturalistic habitats, climbing structures, and hiding places.

Animal Handling and Restraint:

Handle and restrain animals safely and appropriately for various tasks, such as medical examinations, grooming, and transportation.
Follow established protocols and procedures for animal handling to ensure the safety of both animals and staff members.

Facility Maintenance:

Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of animal enclosures, exhibits, and surrounding areas, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting as needed.
Ensure that all equipment, tools, and supplies are properly maintained, stored, and used safely in accordance with established procedures.

Visitor Engagement:

Interact with visitors, guests, and educational groups to provide information about the animals, their habitats, and conservation efforts.
Answer questions, share interesting facts, and engage in positive and informative conversations to enhance the visitor experience and promote a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with animals in a zoo, wildlife sanctuary, aquarium, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
Genuine passion for animals and a strong commitment to their welfare and wellbeing.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as animal care may require roundtheclock attention.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in animal care, husbandry, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
