Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:


  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for the company.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable.

VAT Compliance:


  • Stay informed about the latest VAT regulations and updates in the UAE, especially those relevant to the food industry.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with VAT laws, including timely filing of returns and proper documentation.

Budgeting and Forecasting:


  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.

Financial Reporting:


  • Generate financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and financial health.
  • Provide financial information to support decisionmaking processes.

Audit and Compliance:


  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Cross-functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support to their initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and inventory teams to manage costs and inventory valuation.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, or CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience in the food industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of VAT regulations in the UAE, particularly within the food sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
