JOB PURPOSE:

Supervise and perform maintenance of Electrical equipment in the Plant to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure availability of required resources for Electrical equipment maintenance execution and schedule expectations to complete the job safely and in time.
Plan, schedule, execute and supervise the Preventive/Predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure reliability, availability and safe operations.
Inspect / follow up tasks progress and provide report to ensure timely and quality job execution.
Ensure that maintenance records, fault reports, logbooks, are kept uptodate. Update refurbished equipment database and history for the equipment and their accessories to ensure effective equipment keeping.
Authorize the issuance of electrical isolation certificates/ various maintenance work permits to ensure safe operation.
Maintain Electrical equipment in line with HSECES guidelines and ensure compliance to MAT requirements.
Participate and conduct daily /weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss on safety and methods of completing job tasks.
Supervise the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment or systems, ensuring that repairs/ installations conform to correct methods and safety procedures.
Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.
Follow the guidelines mentioned in Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) Electrical Safety Procedures(ESP) to ensure safe handling of all fixed and portable electrical equipment at facility.
Monitor availability of tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.
Prepare list of spares, tools and materials required for the maintenance jobs and coordinate with supervisor for Purchase/Material requisitions. Inspect new materials' specifications to meet specifications and suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
5 years of experience as a supervisory role for electrical maintenance activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
Knowledge and experience on hazardous area classification and installation and maintenance of Exproof electrical equipment in Oil & Gas industries.
Exposure in operational, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.
Sound knowledge about high, medium and low voltage systems, electrical equipment and shutdown activities.
Good understanding about plant startup and commissioning activities.
Good knowledge about electrical safety requirements and HSE procedures & practices.
Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording

Ability to commute/relocate:

Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

- supervisor (electrical maintenance activities in O&G): 5 years (preferred)
- plant start-up and commissioning activities: 5 years (preferred)
