Community Engagement Programme Manager (UAE National)

Unit Description:

Emirates NBD is the leading financial services brand in the UAE with a Brand Value of USD 3.7 billion.

Group Marketing & Customer Experience (GMCE) is a centralised function responsible for managing the Brand as well as marketing for the group.

The GMCE function is a key growth lever for the group, responsible for the evolution of the customer franchise and driving stakeholder perception.

The core objective of the unit is to deliver market leading customer propositions that elevate the bank's image and create sustainable value for the organization.

The key deliverables for the unit include managing Group Brand Management, Community Engagement, Customer Experience, Customer Life Cycle Management, Business Marketing, Group Sponsorships, Events, Branch Merchandising, Consumer Research, internal and external websites and is directly responsible for developing and implementing GMCE objectives and plans across the bank's local and international network.

The CSR team is responsible in delivering the bank's social agenda, connecting its staff and customers with the community to serve growing needs with responsibility and commitment.


Job Responsibilities:

The "Community Engagement Program Manager" is responsible for the following:Help develop a comprehensive annual CSR/Community Engagement activity plan working closely with Associate Vice President, Community EngagementDevelop CSR/community engagement programmes in alignment with the bank's CSR and sustainability agenda and work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to implement them.

Serve as internal expert and external representative on community engagement issues. Benchmark competition and industry best practices.
Manage, track CSR/community engagement program goals and metrics.

Work with representatives of related departments covering various projects/social interests/initiatives, such as community and customer engagement, staff engagement, human rights, health & safety, energy use, waste reduction, carbon footprint, amongst others.

Build effective relationships with senior executives and cross-functional committees and advise on the development of initiatives that further Emirates NBD's CSR/community engagement/sustainability commitment and champion them within their departments.

Work with marketing communication and CSR agencies in the development of program propositions and production of relevant comm. materials.
Manage extensive employee volunteer initiatives and charitable programs.
Manage CSR reporting process, working with CSR and government agencies and internal stakeholders to collect social and environmental data.
Take primary responsibility for maintaining internal and external CSR web portals.

Ensure consistent, comprehensive, and accurate dissemination of CSR news & updates across its internal and external stakeholder spectrum, including customers.

Participate in CSR membership organizations and attend conferences.
Manage designated portfolio budget, ensuring efficient and quality deployment of resources.
Identify and implement sponsorships with non-profit and other organizations to demonstrate commitment externally.

Secure employee engagement in Emirates NBD's social programs, including maintaining an intranet portal, developing incentive programs, planning, and executing in-person events, delivering presentations, and supporting local advocates.

Make public presentations and represent Emirates NBD CSR on various government conference and summits.

Work with external communications and other parties to pursue appropriate public relations, marketing, recognition & awards to validate Emirates NBD CSR's efforts.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 to 10 years crossfunctional, crossdisciplinary project management and business analysis experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the ME market.
  • Experience in a project management or events agency.
  • Should have a thorough understanding of the CSR landscape, Interaction with CSR consultancy firms, brand and advertising agencies, community groups, NGOs and policymakers, and knowledge and implementation of skill set across various media.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of written/and/or spoken Arabic.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills, able to manage projects independently.
  • Demonstrates an analytical, innovative, structured, and strategic thinking, sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Shares ideas and expertise proactively; demonstrates socially conscious mindset, receptiveness to new thinking.
  • Selfdriven, result oriented with a positive outlook and strong focus on delivery and developing bestinclass community engagement/CSR programs
