Key Responsibilities:


Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for both the overall company including income statements, balance sheet and cash flows and individual construction projects.

Analyze financial performance and forecast future financial needs.

Budget Development and Management:
Create detailed budgets for construction projects, ensuring they align with company objectives and financial capabilities. Continuously monitor and manage these budgets, adjusting as necessary to meet changing project requirements and financial conditions.

Cost Control and Efficiency:
Implement cost-control measures to keep projects within budget. Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Management Reporting:
Prepare regular management, including variance analyses, to provide insights into financial performance against the budget. Present these reports to senior management and other stakeholders.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial policies and assess and manage financial risks associated with construction projects.

Collaboration with Project Teams:
Work closely with project managers and teams to align financial planning with project timelines and objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate budgetary information and financial strategies effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

Audit and Reconciliation:
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to budgetary constraints.


Qualifications:


  • Fully or partly qualified in a recognized professional accounting body (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or a bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Knowledge of taxation is beneficial.

Experience:


  • Minimum three years' experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Must have relevant experience in budgeting and controlling.

Skills:


  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Excel; proficiency will be considered an added advantage.
