We are looking for a Retail & Production Set Designer to join our creative team, this role would be based in Dubai.

The role is to conceptualize, design and produce environmental assets such as product displays, backgrounds, sets, props, that effectively convey the desired mood and atmosphere, across retail stores as well as production sets (for product and model photography and videography).

Through their artistic vision and technical expertise, the ask is to create immersive and visually captivating experiences for audiences.


Responsibilities
Conceptualization

  • Environmental designs by collaborating with art directors, producers, and other members of the creative team to understand the creative vision and requirements of the project. They translate the script or concept into visual designs and develop a cohesive visual concept for the set.
  • Display Layouts and Visuals responsible for designing attractive and effective product displays. Considering factors such as product placement, lighting, color schemes, and overall aesthetics to create visually engaging arrangements that highlight the features and benefits of the products.
Design Development

  • Create detailed design sketches, renderings, and scale models. Consider factors such as the product scale, aesthetic style, mood, materials and feasibility.

Construction and Development:

  • Source and work closely on the production with vendors. Oversee the print, construction and installation of assets in retail and production sets, ensuring that they meet quality, safety standards, budgetary constraints, and the artistic vision.

Material & print production selection:

  • Choose appropriate materials, textures, fabrics and finishes to achieve the desired visual impact and meet the technical requirements of the production. Consider factors such as durability, weight, and the suitability for different lighting.
Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with adjacent teams, with effective communication and teamwork skills being crucial to ensure that all design elements integrate seamlessly and contribute to the overall production.
  • Work closely with the store VM team and Brand Designers, taking into account factors like product placement, signage, fixtures, and spatial arrangement to ensure a cohesive and efficient layout that promotes easy navigation and encourages customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the brand design team to ensure that the visual elements of the displays and store align with the overall brand identity. Incorporate brand colors, logos, and messaging into their designs to create a consistent and recognizable brand image.

Budget & Time Management:

  • Work within allocated budgets, estimating costs for materials, labor, and other resources required for set construction. Source materials costeffectively and make adjustments when necessary to stay within budgetary constraints.

Have a keen eye for design, color, proportion, and composition. Effectively use props, materials, and graphics to create visually striking displays that evoke emotions and resonate with customers.
