Description

Student Support Assistant

The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking to appoint Student Support Assistants to join our Inclusion Team next academic year.

This is a learning support role within a well-established and supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role
The Student Support Assistant role consists of supporting the inclusion of pupils with additional educational needs.

A Student Support Assistant will normally work with an individual student, supporting them to overcome barriers to learning (for example, those with English language difficulties, social and emotional and behavioural difficulties or other academic educational needs).

The aim of the Student Support Assistant is to help the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in group and individual situations, inside and outside of the classroom.

In conjunction with the Head of Inclusion, Head of AEN or EAL Coordinator, you will assist in the development and delivery of a suitable programme of support both within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis.

Our close-knit, supportive team is honoured to be at the centre of our community, educating students aged 3-18, from more than 90 nationalities.

The school was originally opened in 2009 and is now widely recognised as one of the leading schools in the Middle East.

The school was internationally recognised by winning awards at the prestigious International School Awards in both 2020 and 2021, the only school in the world to do so.
