Adla Gibbaoui

I am an expert in transforming social situations into research questions, experienced in both qualitative and quantitative educational research, flexible, objective, dedicated, results oriented, punctual, excellent at organizational planning and management, and is always looking for opportunities to develop.

 I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching in a secondary setting at OCDSB, UCDSB and OCSB (2021-2022) and post-secondary setting at University of Ottawa (2018-2019), Abu Dhabi University (2007-2010), Taaleem Edison Learning (2010-2011), Logistics Center for Management Consulting & Training (2012-2016), and Higher Colleges of Technology (2012-2015).

I have held more than one school managerial job throughout my career. I have worked as Teacher Advisors Lead with Taaleem Edison Learning in Abu Dhabi where I was responsible for creating the English department vision and mission, conducted teacher training, and prepared students’ data and teachers’ training portfolios to submit to ADEK inspectors by the end of the school year. 

I also worked as a head teacher in Lebanon where I had to run the English department of Al Fajr School during the COVID 19 pandemic. 

I have hands on leadership experience as I owned my own daycare center in Ottawa while at the same time supply teaching for Catholic High Schools. I have extensive, diverse and in the field experience; a reason why I didn’t devote to professing full time at the university level. I worked with Syrian refugees from diverse social backgrounds and financial abilities, I worked with Lebanese students in the rural areas, and with Canadian students living in the suburbs as well.
