About Aisha Aleem:
I am a caring, inspirational and dedicated teacher with an excellent track-record of supporting and encouraging young people to achieve their true potential. Along with working with children who have a variety of learning needs, my duties as an educator is more than just to teach but to inspire learners and
instil values and morals which they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. I lend a firm hand in helping learners respect others, develop confidence and accept differences.
I am passionate about giving young children the best possible education and relish
the challenge of managing a diverse workload. I am able to establish supportive
relationships with not only students but also parents and fellow staff members; all
with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student’s independence and self-esteem.
I have also been involved with numerous projects, group works and presentations from which I have gained valuable and transferable skill such as; Strong and assertive communication (Verbal and Written), time management and prioritising workload.
I am hoping to acquire challenging roles where I make use of my extensive experience in the field while continuing to learn and grow with a school at it’s benefit
Experience
Working in the inclusion department for 5+ years, I have learned a great deal and I intend to efficiently use my skills where I can offer the paramount skills and expertise in terms of:
● Conducting assessments including: SEND baseline, Blackwell Spelling / Burt Reading assessment, Malt , SNAP, CAT4, etc.
● Developing and maintaining an Individual Curriculum (IEPs). I have been working with students of determination through year 3-11. During this time I have worked closely with teachers to develop IEPs. I have also mentored training to new LSA/ILSA staff alongside my department head and conducted CPDs.
● As I am currently working as a G&T Coordinator/LST year 5-6, I also have the experience in
- Developing G&T policy
- Shortlisting G&T students
- Using the appropriate resources and administering in class provisions for G&T students. - Communication and management through a graduated approach . This has involved keeping close contact with teachers and observing the students’ performances and behaviors; providing sessions with high scaffolding and encouraging student self lead learning, - preparing and keeping effective resources available for the student as per the ALP targets and conducting summative and formative assessments accordingly.
● I have the experience of providing students various opportunities through running programs such as ASDAN, Matheletics and Social Interaction Group regarding creating and maintaining friendships where students learn to interact and find expressions to become more vocal about their needs. In addition, I have been running an after school health club for Students of determination on the DL and/or hybrid program as a solution to those finding ways to stay active and healthy whilst being at home.
● I am regularly updated on U.A.E. initiatives which include the KHDA uptake on incorporating the visions and national agendas. I have created G&T guidelines and I have kept an update on all the opportunities both internal and external to our school where we can encourage students to showcase their talent representing the esteemed school.
● Filling in other responsibilities of this role I am well trained regarding how to make observations and include differentiated practices with students whilst conducting observations, liaising with teachers and parents and also making documentations with collected evidence. I am well able and experienced in creating student portfolios and registers. I have also conducted project festivals and been a judge for talent shows in the school. In addition to all mentioned above I can provide strong skills of information organization and management with efficient reporting and knowledge dissemination to my leaders.
Education
I have kept myself on a continuous learning journey with a Cambridge SEND certified Diploma, ICEP G&T and other diploma courses in relative leadership fields.
I am a BBA Honours (current CGPA of 3.75/4) graduate with an approved teacher’s License from KHDA.
