About Alex Brennan:
My name is Alex Brennan, an educator with ten years experience as a Physical Education teacher working in international schools; seven years of which I was based in Bahrain. I am currently looking to move back to the Middle East for the upcoming academic year, if a potential Coaching position opportunity was to arise.
I am now in my third academic year of teaching PE in Thailand. Prior to moving to Thailand, I was working in a prestigious international school as a PE teacher at the British School of Bahrain. This allowed me to appreciate the importance and power sport has when offering children the opportunity to compete and integrate with different cultures. I am now seeking to continue developing my professional passion as a coach.
I have a strong passion for rugby, and have personally been on the main stage for rugby in the Middle East. I have not only represented the Bahrain 1st XV and 7s rugby team, I was also selected to represent the Arabian Gulf Rugby. I transferred my passion of playing rugby by implementing a community link initiative whereby the Bahrain 1st Team players would coach our school's rugby team as an ECA.
I have great experience with the World School Games (2020 and 2021), where I lead the football and athletic squads. In addition to this, I was a pinnacle part of initiating the Primary Sports League (PSL), which consisted of regular football, basketball, netball and athletic fixtures between six international schools of Bahrain.
I believe that I could be a notable benefit to your company. I would be able to implement my experience and expertise across all levels. From my time in education I have recognised the importance of competitive environments, whereby children are showcasing their sporting abilities and values, as well as working with specific students or groups to stage interventions with a focus to improve fine and gross motor skills. These are both key in a child's development.
