Worked as an Accountant in the Accounts Division – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science (University of Peradeniya) as per the academic requirement. (June 2019 – April 2022)

• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements like cash flow statement, balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
• Reconciling the faculty’s bank statements and book keeping ledgers.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Monitoring the efficiency of existing accounting procedures and ensuring they comply with the government regulations.
• Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time.
• Produce budget according to schedule.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently. 
• Cooperating with auditors in preparing audit reports.

• Worked at Benhill college, Gampola – Grade 2 class teacher. (January 2016 – March 2017)

• Part time teacher  for  grade 10 & 11 students. (April 2020 – April 2022)

• Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) Bachelor of Commerce (Special) Degree equivalent course at Sri Lanka Institute of Advance Technological Education (SLIATE).

• Successfully completed Extension course in English for professionals at University of Peradeniya in the year 2016.
• Distinction pass in G.C.E Advanced level examination in 2015.
• Distinction pass in G.C.E Ordinary level examination in 2012.
