Current Employer: - Lulu Group International

Project: - Forsan Central Mall

 

Project Brief: -  A three-level retail and leisure destination with a total of 42,500 m2 GLA, shall include a 14,000 m2 square meter hypermarket and department store.

The Mall will boast a selection of casual dining restaurants that will constitute a garden facing concept combined with a 3,500 m2 VOX Cinema and a 3,500 m2 Family Entertainment Centre, all supported with 1,500 parking spaces.

 

Position: - Senior Mechanical Engineer –Client Representative (Jan 2018 to Present)

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational activities of the projects to include but not be limited to: Contractors, Sub-contractors and Material Supplier etc. Co-ordination with Main Consultant & local authorities to secure approvals.
  • Supervise, monitor and report project progress throughout the project cycle to ensure on time completion.
  • Manage the correspondence with the consultant, cost consultant and the contractors regarding the progress, program, evaluation, variations, extension of time and claims.
  • Liaise & Assist clients/tenants in the fit out of their premises and to identify the basic Landlord's design specifications for the premises.
  •  Evaluation of Variations Order(Negative/Positive) & Claims, Value Engineering Proposal from Contractor and effective communication with Cost Consultant for the same.
  • Review & Approval of Shop Drawing, Material & Sample Submittal, Technical submittal, RFI etc.
  • Close out of Work Inspection Request(WIR) & Material Inspection Request (MIR)
  • Prepare minutes of meetings and write technical and progress reports.  
  • Check the milestones and response to contractor’s letters as stipulated in the contract.
  • Assess the progress of work on site and certify payment as per the contract documentations.
  • Attend co-ordination meetings with Contractor, Subcontractor, client etc.  Ensure all meetings are documented.
  • Monitor and coordinate safety and quality control, ensuring project is constructed in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
  • Report any defective work to the contractor for correction, prepare and issue appropriate reports for compliance documentation.
  • Preparation of final handing over documents, O&M Manuals for smooth transition to Mall Operations team.
  • NSC Package finalization (Nominated Sub Contractor like Gas, Lifts-Travellator-Escalator, Sanitary Ware, Building Management Unit etc.). Involved in Pre-Qualification, Bidder Conferences, RFP, Techno-Commercial Evaluation, Shortlisting of Potential Suppliers, Vendor Selection etc.

Project: - Emirates Flight Catering Long term expansion Phase 3

Project Brief: - The project includes main building (B+G+Mez+2+Roof) works for the new 55,735 m2 facility, in addition to a link bridge and other ancillary buildings, with a total project area of 62,448 m2. Works will be carried out alongside the existing Emirates flight catering facilities.

Position: - Project Engineer – HVAC (June 2015 to July 2017)

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading the HVAC site team as a Project Engineer
  • Preparation of material submittal & procurement of all HVAC services
  • Co-ordinating with various suppliers for the speedy delivery of the materials ordered and clarifying the doubts of the suppliers to deliver the correct materials.
  • Fully responsible for all contractual issues related to the day-to-day running of the Project.
  • Manage activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Responsible for managing a Staff/Labor in the project.
  • Ensure timely project submittals and obtaining relevant approvals; (Samples, Shop Drawings, Design Details, Work Procedure, Method Statements, Schedules, Programs etc.)
  • Arrange all clearances, approvals, permissions, etc as may be required from time to time from any of the statutory authorities during the execution of the Project.
  • Schedule and plan all project activities in line with Master Program in co-ordination with the Planning Engineer.
  • Represent the company in all project related meetings with Client/Engineer/Main Contractor and reporting back to the Division Manager.
  • Manage all resource mobilization. Preparation of As-Built documents, Operation & Maintenance Manual for the Client.
  • Ensure successful completion of the Project within the budget and on time
  • Co ordinating with consultants during inspections.

Project Brief: - World’s tallest residential building, the World One Towers (119 floors), Mumbai, India

Position: -MEP Engineer (Aug 2013 to May 2015)

Job responsibilities

  • Handling entire HVAC works along with site MEP coordination
  • Review and close out of Material submittal as per tender specification in co-ordination with Consultant and design team.
  •  Review and close out of Method statement, sample board submittal.
  •  Issuing Non conformance report (NCR)and site observation reports (SOR).
  •  Monitoring site progress and review of daily, weekly and Monthly progress report.
  •  Playing a key role in following up with Engineering dept. for drawing developments & shop drawing approval. 
  • Attending meetings with Consultant and Main contractor and issuing weekly minutes    of meeting.
  •  Close out of Inspection and Test report (ITR) and Material Inspection report (MIR)
  •  Verification of design documents like ESP calculations, Schematics and Heat load calculations.
  • Internal Co-ordination within department with regards to technical issues & service activities 
  • Following- up with MEP contractors for day to day project related updates/ activities & maintaining time lines.

Project: - Princess Noura University for Women, Riyadh

Project Brief: - The largest women’s only university in the World with an approximate built up area of 2,827,920 sq.m accommodating 40,000 students. 

Position: -  MEP QC Engineer (Nov 2010 to July 2013)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make sure that any activity offered for his inspection has an approved shop drawing, method statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
  • Carry out all planned site inspections as per the intervention points marked in the relevant ITP.
  • All site inspection shall be carried out vide an official Inspection and Test request (ITR) submitted by the CONTRACTOR through the proper Channels.
  • Ensure that records of inspection, testing and other related activities and necessary documentation are in orderly retrievable manner.
  • Preparing monthly and weekly progress reports and forward to service manager / planning engineer and keep him abreast of all developments affecting work status.
  • Closely monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good construction practice, only approved materials are used, compliance with shop drawings, and report to Construction Engineer.
  • Make sure that all materials used comply with the approved Material Approval Request.
  • Make sure that the Contractor’s personnel are using the latest edition of the approved shop drawings, MS, QCP and ITP as per the project master index.
  • Make sure that any non-conformity has been reported through a Non Conformance Report (NCR), reviewed by his line supervisor. (Construction Engineer). 
  • Participate with PMC disciplines in reviewing the Close-Out Report as submitted by Contractor.
  • Review the relevant As-Built drawings as submitted by Contractor and make sure that all site conditions are properly addressed.
