Experience
I have worked in three different roles. My first designation was of a Nutritionist wherein I have:
- Supported the businesses in effective communications on the nutrition, health and wellness aspects of our products considering the age-specific nutrition of our targeted population.
- Played a key role in planning and executing several nutrition programs on market level; in addition to serving as a child nutrition expert on the organization’s social media and website platforms.
- Benefited the organization through sound scientific research in establishing our positioning on overall health and nutrition of the Pakistani population.
- Been able to link Nestle Pakistan with two of the professional Nutritionist bodies – two of our major stakeholders-, which helped the organization in better displaying of our Nutrition portfolio
In my second role as an Occupational Health Specialist at one of the most complex sites in the Nestle world, I was able to maintain the site compliant with all local laws, authorities and Global guidelines. During the start of the Pandemic, I proactively prepared for all the forthcoming health issues and managed to keep a consolidated inventory of all the PPEs. Utilizing my excellent documentary skills, I have developed 10 different SOPs in a span of eight months of the pandemic. Return to work of recovered COVID-19 patients SOP has been one of my contributions, which were presented and hailed at Global level.
My third role was of an independent nutritionists wherein i worked with clients on a one-to-one basis providing medical nutritional therapy and advice. Dealing with cases of Diabetes Management including but not restricted to carb counting, insulin sensitivity factor and insulin to carb ratio; Hyperuricemia; Hyperlipidaemia and weight management.
Education
I hold a basic degree of BS (Hons.) Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore; and a post-graduate degree in MPhil Public Health from University of the Punjab, Lahore.
I scored an overall 3.79 cGPA in my Nutrition & Dietetics degree and stood third in my batch with a Bronze Medal. In my MPhil Public Health, I scored an overall 3.57 cGPA and did my thesis on “Association of dietary intake with anxiety and depression in office employees in Lahore” – This study is a first of its kind conducted on Pakistani population, currently working on getting this published.
