As a healthcare assistant and front desk professional, I’ve always believed that every smile, every calm voice, and every bit of extra care can change a patient’s day especially in moments when they feel anxious or vulnerable.

With several years of experience in outpatient and primary care settings, I’ve developed a strong foundation in medical administration, patient communication, and clinic support. I’ve also served as a clinical educator, where I helped guide new team members to feel confident, competent, and compassionate in their roles.

What sets me apart is my ability to stay calm under pressure, connect with people from all walks of life, and always seek small ways to improve how we work whether through systems, service, or simple human kindness.

I continue to pursue professional development in both administrative foundations and digital skills like Microsoft 365 and My goal is to grow into a role where I can combine hands-on care with leadership, helping both patients and teams thrive in today’s evolving healthcare environment.

A Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in the Oncology Department supports nurses, doctors, and patients undergoing cancer treatment. Their main role is to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or palliative care. Duties typically include monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal care, preparing treatment areas, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping with mobility and daily activities. HCAs also ensure infection control, maintain a clean and safe environment, and provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families during challenging times.

This role requires empathy, resilience, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a sensitive and emotionally demanding environment.

I hold a Professional Diploma in Caregiving from Dubai, where I gained comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in patient care, elderly support, and basic healthcare assistance. This program enhanced my ability to provide compassionate and high-quality care in clinical and home settings.

Additionally, I completed a Associate  Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in the Philippines, which strengthened my skills in customer service, organization, and communication—qualities that complement my caregiving profession by helping me provide a warm, professional, and client-centered approach to care.
