I am a self-motivated and passionate Procurement Officer with over 5 years of experience in materials management. I believe in being pro-active than reactive.

I have complete over 6 years in Bin Ghalib Group of companies as a Procurement Officer. Below are a few of the achievements/task:

• Develop and strengthen long term relationships with the vendors to negotiate ideal terms for procurement.
• Negotiation and selection of freight forwarders with favorable pricing and delivery structures.
• Identified and targeted critical procurement issues, saving over AED 100,000 in 2020 and over AED 80,000 in 2021.
• Remodeled procedures as needed to maximize department efficiency with best practices.
• Maintain understanding on the market, pricing structures and trend in industry.
• Up to date information on status of materials for each project. Clearly communicate any issues regarding material deliveries to internal customers.
• Function as a key point of process control by advising the requesting party on full range of procurement issues.
• Perform monthly reconciliation and review of open orders.
• Communicate with technical managers to assess and understand requirements.
• Work with vendors to resolve claims, quickly and efficiently.

I have recently graduated from Heriot-Watt University with MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I also have a Bachelors in Accountancy and Finance.
