As a Theatre and Performing Arts graduate , I have the enthusiasm, skills and training needed to be a great asset to your school. I have a vast understanding of drama and extensive knowledge of many acting techniques that I use in the classroom to help teach students. I have the ability to put on school plays and talent shows. I am also familiar with appropriate stage costumes and make-up, this means that I can help with costumes and props for plays. I have experience putting together class curriculum including student monologues, team acting projects and written assignments. My experiences also include; holding auditions, selecting the casts and directing rehearsals. I have experience grading assignments, exams, stage productions and monitoring students progress and baseline assessments.
In addition, I am familiar with every area from the Elizabeth Era to contemporary playwrights. I have produced and performed the most famous plays like ‘Macbeth’ by Williams Shakespeare. I comprehend the need for teaching improvisation and direction. I can also engage in publicity, that is, to advertise the plays to generate interest and introduce actors opening forums.
I began my career as a Drama Teacher before relocating to U.A.E. I currently work as a class teacher and I would like to take on more challenging role. I further improved my skills and knowledge by taking a course , Post Graduate Certificate In Education (PGCE) and on completion, I must say it has immensely enhanced my knowledge in classroom teaching and management as well as inclusive pedagogy.
Teaching drama is an amazing career. Drama and Theatre have been the food for my soul ever since I was a mere teenager. There is nothing else quite like working with students in this type of setting. It is exciting and very rewarding to watch the students discover their abilities and then to watch their talents excel as they learn new ways to express themselves.
I have the ability to spot students with special talents and to help them see and achieve their full potentials. I hope to obtain this position with your school so I can share my knowledge and experience with your students.
