Ian Evangelista

I am a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) with a 2 years of laboratory experience in the Philippines. I am currently in Abu Dhabi. I am open for any opportunities that will help in my career growth as Medical Laboratory Scientist. I would describe myself as someone who is hardworking, collaborative, and enjoys working as a part of a team.

Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection (including nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab to adults and neonates) following laboratory policies  and procedures, guidelines and work instructions
Performs all laboratory test procedures with accuracy and precision
Performs machine daily maintenance, calibration and quality control
Performs troubleshooting of machines when needed
Perform tests by automated or manual methods following specific work instructions
Uses technical judgements to recognize unusual or abnormal findings and refer to pathologist when needed
Reads hematology slides for manual platelet/rbc/wbc count, reticulocyte count, and differential count.
Monitors reagent and supplies and performs regular stock inventory
Performs and reports task assigned by the chief medical technology and pathologist
Promotes good working relationship among co-workers within and outside the laboratory department
Maintains cleanliness in the laboratory and observes proper waste disposal.

My first job as Medical Technologist was at The Medical City-South Luzon. I worked there for 2 years and 8 moths.

I graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology in the University of Perpetual Help-Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University.
