Registered Nurse with ICU experience and background in quality coaching. 

Staff nurse in a long-term ventilation unit focusing on rehabilitation and quality of life.  Previous   intensive care nursing experience with a BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing degree from De Montfort University with a first classification. I am also a BSc Psychology graduate from University of Leicester. I have a strong commitment to providing patient centred care, aiming to achieve this through a dedication to maintain empathy, candour, resilience and teamwork. Utilising current leadership and team working skills, which I will continue to develop further throughout my career.

 Comfortable in providing care for sedated and ventilated patient in critical care setting.

 Competent in providing care for patients with endotracheal tube or tracheostomy.

 Trained in Immediate Life Support (ILS).

 Trained to give intravenous medication via peripheral cannula, midlines, central venous lines and peripherally inserted central catheter.

 Competent in giving blood transfusion.

 Competent in pain management including; epidural, local anaesthetic infusion and patient controlled analgesia.

 Trained in inter and intra hospital transfer of acutely ill patients.  

 Competent in Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration (CVVH).
