I am a highly skilled Electrical and ELV Engineer with more than 6 years of work experience at different high-profile project sites. In my previous role at Hayleys Energynet (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka,  I was responsible for the execution of projects of designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and ELV systems for different clients. I am skilled at testing & commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of highly sophisticated electrical and ELV systems and at cost estimation, budgeting, handling procurement & suppliers, cost & quality control, monitoring & leading teams for projects.

In addition to my experience, I hold a bachelor’s degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering, and an HND diploma in electrical and electronic engineering, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in principles of electrical engineering. Roles and Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and managing electrical and ELV systems including data, network, CCTV, access control, telephone, public address systems, and structured cabling ensuring safety, reliability, and sustainability.
• Assisting in the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates, consistently handing over projects on time and within budget, and generating a profit of more than LKR. 200 million annually for the company.
• Preparing detailed engineering drawings including shop drawings, tender drawings, SLDS, and schematics using advanced design software, improving project accuracy.
• Conducting site inspections, testing & commissioning complying with specifications, and ensuring systems’ functionality. 
• Resolving technical issues promptly, through troubleshooting, while minimizing project delays.
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation including As-Built drawings, and records of all estimates, quotations, and cost analyses ensuring project reliability.
• Complying with local and international safety regulations leading to zero safety incidents at project sites and ensuring all the cost estimates comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Monitoring and controlling project teams to achieve required outcomes and coordinating with procurement teams to ensure accurate estimation.

Assistant Engineer (Nov 2018 – June 2020)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Designing, installing, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and ELV systems including data, network, CCTV, voice, access control, telephone, and public address systems. 
• Managing projects from conception to completion including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Coordinating with suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, managing procurement ensuring 100% material availability, and reducing delays.
• Monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
• Managing site operations ensuring 100% compliance with quality standards and safety, leading to zero safety incidents.
• Providing training and technical support to project teams, contractors, and end-users on electrical and ELV system operation and maintenance.

• Supply and install lighting, electrical and ELV systems (data) for the medical faculty main office of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. 
• Supply and install electrical and ELV systems (data) for the office of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
