Jelica Govender

I have 6 years of teaching experience in South Africa and 1.5 years of teaching experience in the United Arab Emirates.  I have IB and American curriculum experience.  I am passionate about teaching and making a difference in the lives of the children I teach to ensure each child gets the education they deserve. Differentiation, collaboration and digital learning are incorporated into all of my lessons. I have a meticulous attention to detail and good classroom management skills. 

I have 6 years of teaching experience in South Africa and 1.5 years of teaching experience in the UAE. I have 8 years of teaching experience with students who do not speak English as a first language. I have experience in curriculumdevelopmen  and unit planning in the IB. MYP American curriculum. I am able to develop and present engaging lessons, develop students interests Abilities and coordinatio through creative activities, guided instruction and classroom supervision. I have experience in developing and implementin effective assessment tools. 

I have a Bachelor of Education Degree majoring in Mathematics, ICT and Computer Science. From the University of KwaZulu-Natal South Africa.
