I’m an experienced and dedicated marine professional with over 20 years in the industry and more than 130,000 offshore miles under sail. My background spans racing, transatlantic crossings, deliveries, large yachts, and corporate charters—giving me a wealth of real-world knowledge to share with the next generation of sailors.
I’m passionate about teaching and thrive in structured, safety-focused environments where I can support students in building both confidence and competence. With a strong operational mindset and a hands-on understanding of vessel systems, I bring practical insight to my instruction—bridging theory with lived experience.
I hold an HND in Marine Studies from Glamorgan University, where I gained foundational knowledge in boat design, stability, repair, and systems management. I’m also known for my proactive attitude, approachable
communication style, and calm, solutions-oriented leadership—qualities that make me a reliable and engaging instructor both in and out of the classroom.
