Joan Nakagwe

I am a physically fit, dependable, and hardworking general labourer with hands-on experience in construction, demolition, site cleanup, and layout preparation. I take pride in doing my work efficiently, following safety procedures, and supporting skilled trades like carpenters, masons, and painters on the job site.

I’ve worked on both residential and commercial projects, helping with material transport, concrete mixing, scaffolding setup, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. I am a quick learner, willing to take direction, and always ready to go the extra mile to get the job done. My goal is to contribute to a team in Canada under LMIA sponsorship and grow in the construction industry.

I have over 4 years of hands-on experience working as a general labourer in both residential and commercial construction environments. My responsibilities have included site preparation, material handling, concrete mixing, assisting skilled trades, cleaning job sites, and following safety procedures.

I’ve worked on construction sites in the UAE and Uganda, supporting carpenters, masons, and painters with layout tasks, demolition, and basic repairs. I am physically fit, reliable, and quick to learn, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

I hold a High School Certificate and have received on-the-job training in construction, layout, and site safety through hands-on work with experienced contractors. This practical experience has equipped me with the skills to handle tools, follow blueprints, assist with framing and concrete work, and work safely on active job sites.
