With a formal background in geotechnical engineering paired with my field expertise, I am pleased to be applying for the Geotechnical Engineer job.

My Post Graduation in M.Tech., Geotechnical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invoked me a broad understanding and keen Interest in the field of GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING. I have sharpened my skills using PLAXIS 2D, L-PILE, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SETTLE 3D and STAAD PRO packages. Also having knowledge in International codes and standards including AAHSTO, Eurocodes and British Standards.

I have total 17 years’ Geotechnical Engineering experience in design and supervision in various sectors in civil engineering like Oil & Gas, Marine, Power sector, Highways, and industrial structures. Throughout my entire career, I have been successful in solving problems, resolving conflict, and contributing to shared objectives.

I have thorough knowledge about all wide range of Geotechnical Investigations, execution, and design of various geotechnical structures like shallow and deep foundations, ground improvements, retaining walls, deep excavations and shoring designs including dewatering. Foundations:

• Estimation of pile capacities for different pile types and analysis of laterally loaded piles including Russian code approaches.
• Design of retaining walls including problem solving with drainage issues at site.  
• Study the effect of pile driving on adjacent structures. 
• Working experience with Bored cast-in-situ piles, CFA piles, and Pre-cast driven piles including SPUN piles.
• Estimation of shallow foundations bearing capacities & settlements including Russian practice exposure.
• Estimation of Micro piles capacities as per Bustamante & Diox and conventional approaches.
• Perform Zone load tests for confirmation on bearing capacity in fill areas.
• Estimation of tank settlements for different possible modes using PLAXIS 3D.

Earthworks & Ground Improvements:

• Slope stability analysis of Embankments/Deep excavations
• Design and review of rock anchoring and shotcrete 
• Selection of suitable ground improvement based on soil conditions
• Review of ground improvement works (stone columns, Dynamic compaction Dynamic replacement, Vibro compaction, CMC columns)
• Post testing to confirm that ground improvement works acceptability
• Stability of buried pipes due to Cranes/SPMT movement as per BS:9295 & AWWA
