Kristey Lewis

As a lawyer hailing from Toronto and educated at the University of British Columbia, I bring a global outlook shaped by visits to 32 countries and extensive coursework in international law. Moving to Dubai in 2024 to launch my legal career, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, driven by passion and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the legal arena.

I am a Canadian lawyer with a Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia (April 2021). My legal career began as an Articled Student at the Ministry of Attorney General of Ontario (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) from August 2023 to June 2024. During this time, I managed client relationships, drafted complex agreements, and negotiated contracts between governmental entities. I also worked on resolving land claims and property disputes, gaining expertise in corporate real estate transactions and Indigenous affairs.

Previously, I served as an Articled Student at Viktoriya Terentyeva, Barrister & Solicitor (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) from May 2023 to July 2023, advocating for clients in court hearings and negotiating with opposing counsel. Additionally, I worked as a Legal Policy Analyst at the Métis Nation of Ontario (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) from September 2021 to April 2023, conducting legal research and analysis to advance self-determination objectives and formulate policy recommendations.

In summer 2019, I gained valuable experience as a Summer Articled Student at Vancouver’s Indigenous Community Legal Clinic (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), providing comprehensive legal support and utilizing legal practice management software to efficiently manage client files.
