Experienced Intermediate Phase (Middle School) teacher with 30+ years, functioning as Class teacher, Senior teacher, Mentor, Lead teacher and Education Specialist.

Started teaching in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) in January 2015. Teaching mathematics in grades 5 – 8, Head of Mathematics Support Team. Part of school cluster team managing bridging programs, gifted and talented programs, supporting special needs teachers, mentoring new teachers, sharing best practices and resources.

My career in South Africa afforded me the opportunity to function as HOD and to coordinate the OBE pilot project at my school. As part of the Port Elizabeth curriculum unit, I supported teachers regarding curriculum matters. My focus and dedication to my work resulted in me receiving invitations to represent the Port Elizabeth district at an IMBEWU seminar, to facilitate at AMESA workshops My management skills and style have ensured that the Educators I worked with gained valuable teaching, disciplinary and administrative skills. I have excellent IT skills, currently enrolled in the Microsoft Education Center.
