I joined Leeds Teaching Hospital (LTHT) as a newly qualified, after completing my BSC Adult Nursing Qualification from Leeds Beckett University achieving a First Class Honors. I am a committed, dedicated and approachable nurse, continuously striving for personal and professional growth, ensuring patients receive fair and equal care based on the patient's individual needs, so they have a positive patient experience. My degree has taught me the theory behind the importance of communication, but being a nurse has taught me the essentials of quality of care and how to communicate and interpersonal skills required, especially in high-pressure situations to provide emotional support to patients, relatives and colleagues. Having effective interpersonal and communication skills meant that as a nurse I can establish a rapport relationship with patients, elicit cooperative responses to procedure plans, reduce stress, promote wellness and improve overall quality of care.
