Lisa Wolthuizen

      I have been a classroom teacher at the grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 levels, in the United Arab Emirates and Canada.  Recently, I have acquired experience as a Grade 3 online teacher.   I taught students in the classroom face to face as well as online, using the Zoom platform.  While my experience is primarily as a teacher, I have also been an Administrative Supervisor for Grades 3 and 4.  In addition to this, I have been a member of organizational committees taking place within various school communities. 

       My experience includes participation in many facets of the teaching and learning process.  As a teacher, I have created online learning materials, including videos.  These resources supported student learning while at home.   My online classes included ample opportunities for student engagement through the use of apps such as Seesaw, Kahoot, Wordwall, Mentimeter, as well as the use of breakout rooms.       

      I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Anthropology from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada as well as a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
