Mathisha Dissanayake

I am an aspiring cybersecurity professional currently pursuing my studies in the field and eager to apply my skills in a real-world IT environment. I have completed practical courses such as Google IT Support and an introduction to cyber security  on Coursera, giving me a solid foundation in technical problem-solving and IT support. Beyond academics, I’ve volunteered at my local library, where I honed my organizational and communication skills while assisting diverse users. I am a fast learner, highly motivated, and excited to contribute to a team while gaining hands-on experience in IT and cybersecurity.

I have gained practical IT and organizational experience through volunteering at my local library, where I assisted users with technology-related queries and managed information resources efficiently. Additionally, I have completed online courses, including Google IT Support and an introduction to Big Data on Coursera, which have strengthened my technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, preparing me to contribute effectively in an IT internship role.

I am currently pursuing a Diploma in IT, which will transition to a BTEC Higher Diploma Level 5 in Cybersecurity in November 2026. Prior to this, I completed my High School Diploma, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
