The Main duties were:
• Responsible for the overall management and coordination of engineering activities directed towards the development of conceptual and detailed project design, the issue of shop drawings and documents for construction purposes and technical support to site construction, as well as participated in the process of design reviews and implementation of independent design checks, constructability reviews and Value Engineering.
• Liaised with the Client, PMC and Consultant's representative on technical issues, while created a variety of alternative designs to enhance client offerings and ensure project success.
• Advised the Client and Project Manager on all matters pertaining to programming, Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Working Drawings, Tender Documents, Tender Submittals and Evaluation.
• Coordinated the Architectural services with Structural, MEP and Landscape disciplines through facilitating and leading coordination workshop meetings.
• Leaded a team of architects, structure engineers and draftsmen and managed the production of Architectural shop drawings as well as construction issue documentation, ensured they were in conformity with the design and Client/Consultant's Requirements, while managed and provided direction to the execution staff.
• Monitored the execution of all architectural and engineering activities, emphasized on-time and on-budget activities and monitored compliance with design guidelines and contract terms.
• Developing and implementation of Value Engineering concepts.
• Conducting constructability and bid ability reviews on all design bid and construction documents.
• Worked along with the Construction Managers as required to resolve issues related to design and coordination across the project.
• Reviewed proposals received from the vendors, evaluated content and offer, prepared a detailed report and made recommendations for appointment for the Client/Consultant’s review.
• Produced, analyzed and advised upon specification, materials selection and detailed design solutions in relation to performance and production criteria.
• Reviewing and approval of sample boards and mock-up units prior to the submission of the same to the client/consultant.
• Monitored statutory authority approval processes. Prepared a standard NOC register to be prepared and updated by all consultants and sub-contractors.
• Overseen and coordinated subcontractors and suppliers shop drawings while ensured that they were coordinated with various designs disciplines.
