  • Lead Site Supervision Team to administer the contract in accordance with terms & Conditions.

PROJECT DETAILS:

  • Construction and Completion of Emirates Road Extension (Phase 2), The Link Road between Etihad Road and Emirates Road (Package 1), Between Helio R/A and Dumb Bell Underpass on Emirates Road: The project consists of 2.58 km dual carriage way starting from existing roundabout of Jeddah Road connecting north side of dumbbell roundabout of existing underpass on emirates road (E611). Protection of existing jet fuel line, lowering & protection of waterline &11KV cable and relocation of Etisalat GSM tower were also included in scope of works. Construction of additional lane at all four existing slip roads of underpass, construction of farm access road and rehabilitation of existing road were also part of it.   
  • Design & Build of internal Roads of Mohammad Bin Zayed Residential Complex in Al Montazi, Ajman: This is an internal road project of 23 km, located in Al Muntazi area of Ajman. The Project is based on two phases as Stage 1 – Block B and C and Stage 2 – Block A, D and associated link road. 
  • Construction of Internal & Link Roads in Northern Emirates: The project includes construction of internal and link roads in 40 locations in Northern Emirates. Construction of culverts, Irish crossings, relocation of services and construction of new networks for services.
  • Upgrading & Improvement of Dubai-Sharjah Border Road: The project includes upgrading and dualization of road adjacent to industrial areas no. 15 and 17 of Sharjah. The scope also includes upgrading of existing traffic signal, protection of existing SEWA HV-cables & water lines and construction of surface water drainage system and connect to existing network.
  • Upgrading and improvement of Wadi Ujaili Road: The project includes upgrading and improvement of existing road by replacing all Irish crossings with box & pipe culverts. The scope also includes relocation of Etisalat network, raising of overhead FEWA-Electricity cables, protection of existing FEWA-water lines and projection of road embankment by stone pitching.
  • Extension of Emirates Road (E611) from Al Aqran in Umm Al Quwain to Al Taween in Ras Al Khaimah: The works include construction of new road corridor with 2 lanes each direction and wide median with provision for additional future lane. Installation of road furniture included as roads signs, road marking, street lighting system, corridor fencing and other services works. There are structure works as well such as vehicular underpass and box culverts of 2 & 4 cells.

Client: Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure

  • Tunnel: Construction and Completion of Dibba-Khorfakkan ring road between Al Aqah and Sharm “Design & Built”: It is a design and built project to dualize the existing road between Al Aqah to Sharm. The reason for the construction of this tunnel is to connect two new roundabouts on existing Dibba-Khorfakkan Road and make a bypass from inside of mountain. This is two-way tunnels with two lanes in each. The lengths of each way tunnel are 550 and 570 meters respectively. Drill & blast method is used for rock excavation. Concrete lining of 40 cm thickness applied as final layer after stabilization of rock and shotcrete.  Rock excavation as open cut for road works is 410,000 m3 and for tunnel is 120,000 m3. Automatic lighting system introduced and latest technology used for other MEP arrangements for tunnel. 
  • Improvement and upgrading of the road between Al Taween Roundabout-Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road (E311)-Al Ittihad road - Phase 1 Section 1: The main scope or work is dualization of existing carriageway from exit 119 of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road to Sheikh Khalifa hospital which includes 2 nos. of link roads, 2 ns. of filter roads, 3 nos. of service roads and 3 nos. of roundabouts etc. Extension of existing services ducts, construction of soil walls to safe the existing gas pipe line passing near by the road
  • Dualization of Undualized Section of Dibba-Masafi Road (Stage 2 – Section 2) (Gona – Masafi): The main scope is dualization of existing carriageway. A bridge construction over existing wadi is also included in the scope of works. Extension of existing culverts was carried out to suit the width of new carriageway, construction of soil wall done to maintain the wadi width as well. Installation of barriers, fixing of guardrail, street lighting works and installation of future ducts for different authorities were completed as well.

  • P242 - Infrastructure development in Northern Emirates: This is a telecommunication infrastructure development works for “du” in Northern Emirates. The scope of work includes laying of pvc ducts, fiber optic cable installation & connection, construction of JRC boxes, installation of wooden poles, fixing marker posts, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for duct crossings, concrete encasement & protection works and reinstatement works etc.

Client: Al Ain Municipality

  • Improvement and Maintenance of the road from Um El Zumool to Tawi Arbeen, Al Ain, UAE: This is a road construction project associated with the improvement of the existing pavement. The length of the road is 61 km, starting from Um El Zumool to Tawi Arbeen. A link road of 4 km is also included in the scope of work to make a connection with the Saudi boarder.

Client: Directorate of Public Works - SRTA

  • R646 – Dhaid Heavy Vehicle Temporary Route, Toll Plaza, Sharjah, UAE: The project was to construction a toll system in section 1 of Dhaid heavy vehicle temporary route. It consists 30cm thick concrete slab of 1600m2 with 4 nos. of precast toll both with the installation of crash cushion as well. Other associated works were to install CCTV camera with foundation, raised arm barrier with foundation, lighting system and to lay services such as ducts for water, drainage, electricity, data transfer cable to connect with the administration building etc.
  • R546 – Dhaid Heavy Vehicle Temporary Route, Sharjah, UAE: It was a construction of dual carriageway road for the heavy vehicles carrying construction materials. The scope of works includes construction of a dual carriageway road, traffic signal system, street lighting works, construction of 2-way & 19-way of 1000mm dia AC pipe culverts, installation of open box beam guardrails, fixing of kerbstones, fixing of gabion boxes & mattresses, construction of RCC retaining wall & protection slab, relocation of existing plants & services of different authorities.
    • R472 – Khor Fakkan South Gateway Interchange, Sharjah, UAE: The project comprises the widening of the existing Fujairah to Khor Fakkan road, extension of existing box culvert, construction of a 46m span post tension bridge, two roundabouts, four slip roads and two service roads with footpaths and car parking facilities. The bridge superstructure is in the form of a post-tensioned reinforced concrete box girder and the approaches to the bridge are supported on reinforced earth walls. The bridge abutments are supported on cast in-situ 750mm dia bored pile foundations. Footpaths are provided on the reinforced walls and the bridge. The project also includes a geotechnical investigation comprising two 25m deep boreholes, logging, laboratory and in-situ testing and reporting to aid the design of the piled foundation for the bridge abutments.
  • R561– Camel Grid and Safety Fencing Stone Pitching at Tunnel Portals at Gillay Area, Sharjah, UAE: The Project involved the construction of camel grids across the existing Gillay to Kalba Road, additional safety fencing to the Gillay Tunnel entrance and construction of stone pitching at the East and West Tunnel Portals.
  • R511 – Access to Low-Cost Housing at Al-Muhtadi Area and Football Field, Sharjah, UAE: The project is located near Morran Village in Wadi Al-Hilu (Sharjah). It is a two-lane single carriageway of length 1716.00m included one number of 1000mm GRP Pipe culvert and two numbers of 2-cell box culverts, Surface Water Drainage Channel of grouted riprap is constructed at the inlet and outlet of culverts. Stone pitching and rhino mattress are installed for the embankment protection. All future ducts for all concerned authorities were laid as required. Water pipe line of 125mm dia HDPE pipe laid in the Wadi and service manholes were constructed at all connections and junctions. Gabion walls constructed to protect the existing water well in the Wadi.
  • R378 – Dhaid Pedestrian Underpass and Road Improvement works, Sharjah, UAE: A pedestrian underpass of length 32m with internal width of 3m and internal height of 4m constructed between Hisn Roundabout and Mosque Roundabout at Dhaid, Sharjah. Concrete barriers installed in the median between above mentioned two roundabouts. Construction of 3rd lane at either side of carriageway was also part of the project. Other associated services work such as, street lighting works, surface water drainage works were also the part of scope of work.
  • R269 – Akhaider- Khudayra Underpass, Sharjah, UAE: A vehicular underpass of length 32m with internal width of 8.5m and internal height of 5.5m was constructed near government building at Dhaid. 2 Nos. of Roundabouts were constructed to link this road to Sharjah-Kalba Road by slip roads.
  • R269B – Sharjah Kalba Road, Section 8 and Additional Works, Sharjah, UAE: The project consisted of construction of Sharjah-Kalba Road Section8 which included dueling of existing single carriageway from Shawka to Munaiy of 18km length. Most of the length constructed by blasting mountains and rest of the length by filling the rock obtained from blasted mountains. Relocation of Etisalat overhead fiber optic cable and installation of street lighting foundations wore also the part of the scope of work. Stone pitching, concrete lining and gabion mattress were laid to protect the embankment of the road. A jug-handle U-turn constructed at Sharjah-Kalba Road Section 8 for the heavy vehicles carrying construction material from crushers.
  • R392 – Wushah Underpass, Sharjah, UAE: A camel underpass of 32m width with internal width of 6m and internal height of 5m was constructed at Wushah under Dhaid-Madam Road. West side roundabout was constructed over 3-cell box culvert to ease the Wadi flow coming from east side of Dhaid-Madam Road. The extension of existing 3-cell box culvert was also the part of this scope of work. Both roundabouts were connected to the main road by slip road. 
  • R325 – Shawkah–Munaiy Interchange, Sharjah, UAE: A vehicular underpass of 32m length with internal width of 8.5m and internal height of 5.5m constructed at Munaiy under Sharjah-Kalba Road to provide connectivity to Munaiy-Hatta Road. Soil wall was installed close to underpass to retain the earth fill of main road. Open box beam safety fence was installed either side of carriageway over it. All future ducts for services authorities were laid and street lighting foundations were installed as a part of scope of work. Construction of 792m dual carriage was also the part of the project. All Etisalat services were relocated as per their requirements. Street lighting networks were also rerouted as per new layout of interchange.
    • PGS 4308 – Road and Associated Works, UAE: It was an infrastructure development work for an industrial plot in Sajja, Sharjah. The construction of 3.5km 2 lane single carriageway, water network, street lighting networks, and laying of future ducts for all concerned services authorities were included in scope of works.
  • R470 – Al Bidayer Area Development Works, Sharjah, UAE: This project consisted of installation of centre median barriers for the length of 14km and installation of 288 Nos. of street lighting foundation size 1x1x1.5m. Construction of 5 nos of U-Turns among them 2 Nos. jug-handles and 3 nos. temporary accesses in the median with lockable bollards were also included in the scope of work.
  • R527 – Wadi Hilu Seismic Monitoring Tunnel, Sharjah, UAE: This project consisted of drilling of tunnel in the mountain and shotcrete with lattice girder for a seismic monitoring tunnel at Wadi Al Hilu, Sharjah.
  • R527A – Civil Works for Wadi Hilu Seismic Tunnel, Sharjah, UAE: There are two concrete walls, one inside tunnel near seismometer vault and one at the entrance of tunnel and RCC flooring is of 200mm thick with BRC mesh, also included Control Room for the instrument which will record waves of the earthquake with the services facilities such as electricity, water, drainage, telephone, internet, pantry, toilet, A/C and pavement of Interlock, kerbstone and fencing as well.
  • R541 – Erosion Protection to Existing Vehicle Underpass on Dhaid-Madam Road, Sharjah, UAE: The work comprises to check the stones pitching works (with concrete pouring). Checking the required (water flow points) with Chutes on proper locations for 4 Nos of Underpasses at Dhaid-Madam Road and 2 Nos of Underpasses at Sharjah-Kalba Road.

Duration: March 2011 to September 2011.

Client: RTA Dubai.

  • TRA/ROD/915 – Various Parking in Dubai, UAE: This is an infrastructure project mainly for the construction of parking facilities in five locations in Dubai. Construction of internal roads adjacent to the parking and widening of existing roads to facilitate smooth traffic movement is also included in the scope of works. Extension, relocation, betterment & protection of services along with new cross ducts for all services authorities are completed as well.
  • P613FZ.C100 – JAFZA South Infrastructure, Phase 4 (Part 2), Dubai, UAE: This is an infrastructure project mainly for the construction, rehabilitation, improvement and widening the road. There are 4 junctions to be signalized and two existing junctions are to be converted to roundabouts. All service authorities duct to be laid, extended, relocated and protected as per their requirements. Construction of an access road from Emirates Road to JAFZA south with security gate is also included in the scope work with the protection of existing gas pipeline.

  • RO 22 - Wadi Gillay to Tunnel Road, Sharjah, UAE: It was construction of 5.830km road of double carriage way, having two box culverts and four pipe culverts. Two cell & one cell box culverts, Trapezoidal section open channel and 800mm & 1200mm dia A/C pipe culverts for drainage, 100mm, 150mm & 315mm dia Upvc pipes for service crossings such as water pipes, telecommunication crossing pipe, street lighting and electricity crossing pipes etc. 800mm dia RCC pipe laying for storm water drainage system.
  • RO 11 - Wadi Muddiq to Tunnel Road, Sharjah, UAE: 2.78 km road of double carriage way having one box culvert of 86m, three pipe culverts. One underpass of 67m length having 2100m3 concrete & 450tons of steel. It includes duct installation for authorities.
  • RO 11 (VO2) - Wadi Rumb to Wadi Muddiq Link Road, Sharjah, UAE: It was construction of 5.145km road of two lanes single carriage way having one box culvert, nine pipe culverts and services duct for authorities.
  • R246A – Kalba Lagoon Corniche Road –Phase 1 & 2, Sharjah, UAE: It was construction of an additional lane with parking facilities of road of double carriageway with two lanes of existing road and new construction double carriageway with two & three lane in different locations. One box culvert and two pipe culverts were also constructed as part of this project. It includes laying of 25000m2 interlocks, fixing of 8000m kerbstones, parking areas, service roads and services ducts for authorities.

PROJECTS IN PAKISTAN:

Company: Shaukat & Raza (Pvt) Ltd.     

Duration: October 1994 to October 1999.

Designation: Project Engineer.

            W14 - Construction of Water Reservoir at North-East Karachi, Pakistan: NEK treated water reservoir was a part of bulk water supply system for Karachi. The capacity of the reservoir was 10MGD. Area of the reservoir was 98x96m having two equal compartments with 342 nos. of circular columns of 400mm dia. The depth of reservoir was 7.5m. It was 5m bellow of ground level & 2.5m was elevated form ground level. The thicknesses wall, top & bottom slab were 600, 450 & 600mm respectively. The excavation quantity was 55,500m3, quantity of concrete and reinforcement were 12,784m3 & 1,900 ton. 3 km long open waste water trapezoidal section channel with concrete lining and 800mm dia RCC drainage pipe was also a major part of it. One inlet chamber & pumping station adjacent to outlet chamber were the operational part of project. 

  • Infrastructure & Area Development at PNS Hyder, Karachi, Pakistan: It was a mass earth fill work of about 3 million Cft to change a golf ground to a leveled area for the housing scheme. Infra-structure work includes earth fill, striping of soil, road works, open trapezoidal  channel   for   rain  water and laying of services networks for authorities. 
  • Construction of Containers Park at KPT, Karachi, Pakistan: It was a concrete pavement work for staking of containers inside Karachi Port Trust and a parallel road for the vehicle to approach Container Park. It includes under ground services of RCC, A/C & U-PVC pipes of different Dias for drainage, water & electricity services.
