Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to apply for the position of “Senior Associate, Facilities Management” at Changi Airport, Singapore. Over my 22 years of working as an “Facility Management & Projects” expert, I have extensive experience and skills in this 2 fields and I wish to apply for this exciting opportunity. I find it aligns with my unique skills, in particular to the education side.

In my current role as Specialist- facilities operation at HCT (Higher Colleges of Technology), I have proven to be a reliable, professional and efficient manager. Given my responsibility to not only manage internal team but also all the service contractors, I am familiar in performing all the routine, critical and important tasks in a high-pressure environment.

I have continually strived to improve the functionality of my workplace by developing and implementing new administrative systems. I have also received appreciation for my ability to bring improvements and initiatives in the campus and at some times, system wide of HCT. 

As an individual who look to advance my career level and keep in pace with the industrial standards, I always look forward to improve my skills and hence I was able to get the certifications in NEBOSH (OHS) in 2021 and another from IFMA, the CFM.

Brief statement of my skill is outlined below:

  • Co-ordinate and manage the Hard Services like MEP & Civil Maintenance activities & Soft Services vis; Cleaning, Pets Control, Security, Campus Nurse, Landscape and Catering Contracts.
  • Provide monthly operational performance and management reporting relating to the service areas. (KPI and SLA)
  • Manage and deliver support services for offices, calendar event activities, health and safety relating to staff, fleet vehicles, equipment, waste and recycling.
  • Monitor utility tariffs and usage, being proactive in seeking improved efficiencies.
  • Responsibility for managing the building maintenance budget, asset control and disposals.
  • Anticipate future developments with the buildings, facilities, décor and other academic needs on yearly basis, ensuring that adequate planning and budgetary provision is made for maintenance and repair works and that continuity of service is optimized.
  • Preparing the Estimate and seeking budget, initiate RFP, participate in the Techno commercial evaluation, execute the job with the awarded contractor, follow up with all documents in the prescribed format, uploading in the FM system, completion of the project and closing out report.
