Fashion Head | 

 

Developed and delivered a full operational strategy as a department head to the brand, enhancing design and production procedures along side marketing and customer experience. Liaised with outsourcing units and in house workshops to fully organise manufacturing and sales. Worked with Creative Head, Design Team and Sales departments to achieve timely execution.

 

Notable responsibilities:

Designing seasonal collections including Couture, Bridal, Alta Moda, Luxury, Pret, Lawn and Menswear accordingly with the directions by the Creative Head.

Researching on seasonal topics and ideas, brainstorming with the teams and penning down the concepts to be further used for Press Releases, PR Circulation, Catalogues and Social Media Content.

Wrote the Operations Manual for the brand comprising of each and every step of design, production, marketing and sales to guide every employee for their roles and responsibilities.

Design process responsibilities included Pattern Manipulations, draping, embroidery drawings and draftings, digital print making and social media layouts including branding and typography

Supervising Hand Embroidery, Industrial Embroidery, Dyeing, Printing, sampling and stitching units for daily production.

Styling fashion shoots including Editorials, Catalogues, Campaigns and E-commerce, preparing mood boards, holding in depth meetings with Photographers, Makeup Artists, Jewellery Designers and Models. Conducting fittings and on set management.

Co Directing fashion shows with Creative Head, preparing cue files for models, backstage management and light and sound teams.

Takings appointments of clients for made to measure bridals and formals, Including one on one or online set up meetings suggesting them looks and also taking into their choices and designing their outfits accordingly.

Managing and organising production and orders files, alongside maintaining production and delivery calendars.

Designing social media feeds and graphic layouts for website, Instagram, and facebook.

Supervising in store and online store inventory and making sure collections are delivered timely and updated regularly.

As a part of the Design team I brought combination of Fine Art, Fashion and Culture to the massive portfolio of the brand to enrich brand’s creativity along with business and retail outcomes. Collaborating with the team to equally pushing creative boundaries, freedom of expression and tangible economic returns. Citing my focus on outcomes and the bigger picture with an innate understanding of client perception and the ability to truly connect with the artistic process as the key factors enabling to unlock the creative and commercial potential of all elements with in Art and Fashion industry.

 

Notable responsibilities:

Further researching seasonal topics and converting them into designs including motifs manipulation, hand drawings, illustrations, hand embroidery draftings and digital drawings.

Hand painting motifs to further create digital prints for collections to be printed on Fabrics like Lawn, cotton, silk and organza.

Refining Creative Head’s sketches into detailed drawings and setting proportions for embroideries (hand/Industrial)

Doing research for upcoming fashion trends and market trends to contribute to collections for upcoming retail seasons.

Creating in-house styling props and accessories for Photoshoots and Fashion Shows.

Assisting Head Stylist and Creative Head on set for the shoots.

Front stage and back stage management roles during Fashion Shows and Events including guest lists, seating, invitations, model line ups etc.

Assisting sales team in made to measure appointments by conducting direct measurements, fittings, sample approvals, client coordination etc.

Help display products in retail sections and making sure the products are up to date in tagging, pricing and displays.
